THE IDES OF MARCH

With Ryan Gosling, Evan Rachel Wood, George Clooney, Paul Giamatti, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Marisa Tomei

Written by George Clooney, Grant Heslov & Beau Willimon (based on his play Farragut North)
Directed by George Clooney

Julius Caesar was notoriously stabbed to death on the Ides Of March by his insiders.

Starring two men who can be considered cinema heartthrobs, others would prefer to see Clooney and Gosling as two excelling actors of their respective generations.

Clooney also returns to the director's chair, transforming the original play Farragut North into an intriguing political drama for the screen.
Stephen Meyers is a young campaign manager of a Democratic contender who gets a rude awakening when his hero's actions (as well as emotions between him and a female intern) shakes his conviction. With so many underhanded players including some inside the campaign, the opposition and the press, secrets, lies and hidden agendas are set to shatter Meyers' idealism, having him face the choice of jumping ship, doing the right thing or doing what he believes he needs to feel vindicated.
